Position: Quantitative Researcher - CTA Relative Value PodLocation: London

A top-tier hedge fund is seeking a talented Quantitative Researcher to join its CTA Relative Value (RV) pod. This role focuses on driving innovation within the CTA space while also exploring opportunities for diversification across strategies and markets. The position offers a collaborative environment where you'll work closely with experienced professionals to develop cutting-edge models and deliver impactful results.

The right candidate would get to join a fund with over £10 billion in assets. You would work directly with a PM who has over 8 years of industry experience and a very technical background, as well as tenures at both machine learning and quant driven firms. The team you would join is made up of experts in the field giving you the opportunity to learn and grow from those close to you.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and optimize models for relative value strategies within the CTA space.
• Research new signals and explore diversification opportunities across asset classes and trading horizons.
• Collaborate with the team to implement robust models using Python or C++ and ensure scalability and performance.
• Continuously refine and adapt strategies to changing market conditions while maintaining a focus on risk management.

Requirements:

• 2-5 years of experience in quantitative research, ideally within CTA, RV, or systematic strategies.
• Strong programming skills in Python or C++ and experience working with large datasets.
• Familiarity with CTA strategies, market dynamics, and signal generation techniques.
• A proactive and innovative mindset, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• Experience exploring diversification strategies is a plus.
