About the Client:We are excited to be partnering with an established, boutique accountancy practice based in South London. This practice is renowned for its dedication to providing high-quality services and fostering strong relationships with a diverse range of clients. They are seeking an experienced accounts professional to join their dynamic team and contribute to their ongoing success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparing financial statements for clients in accordance with UK accounting standards (e.g., FRS 102, FRS 105).
- Managing monthly, quarterly, and annual accounts for a range of clients.
- Producing and reviewing management accounts and financial reports.
- Overseeing client bookkeeping and making sure financial records are accurate and up-to-date.
- Ensuring clients comply with the relevant UK financial regulations (e.g., Companies Act, HMRC requirements).
- Mentoring and training junior staff, providing guidance on accountancy tasks, and reviewing their work.
- Identifying new business opportunities and growing the client portfolio by networking or cross-selling services.
- Maintaining strong client relationships to encourage repeat business and referrals.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in an accountancy practice (3+ years).
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and regulations.
- Excellent leadership and people management skills.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Strong organisational skills with keen attention to detail.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Relevant professional qualifications (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA) are preferred but not essential.
