Job Description :

We're looking for a Premises Officer to join our team based in Catford, Greater London.

Location: Catford, Greater London.

Hours: 40 hours per week

What will you be responsible for?

As a Premises Officer you'll be working within the Maintenance Team, supporting with the optimal functioning and safety of the school premises.

Your day to day will include:

  • Take responsibility for the maintenance and upkeep of the premises, including buildings, fixtures, fittings, and furniture.
  • Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly proactive quality checks of the premises to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and functionality.
  • Carry out minor repairs and report major repairs to the Premises Manager.
  • Perform general grounds maintenance to enhance the appearance of outdoor areas.
  • Assist school staff with various tasks such as large display mounting, furniture moving, and repairs to classrooms/school equipment

What are we looking for?

This role of Premises Office is great for you if you have:

  • Previous experience in premises management, facilities maintenance, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of health and safety regulations with the ability to identify potential hazards and implement appropriate measures to mitigate risks.
  • Flexibility to work outside regular hours and respond to emergencies as needed.
  • Capable of handling and moving equipment, furniture, and supplies efficiently and safely.
  • Proficient in performing routine maintenance tasks, minor repairs, and general upkeep of the premises to ensure a safe and functional environment.
