Press Brake operator

Working for a specialist engineering company based in Oldham, specialists in sheet-metal fabrication and specialist welding. Having recently invested in a new 6kw Bystronic Fiber Laser, and a modern 4mtr Bystronic CNC press brake they now require an experienced press brake operator.

Role Description

• Responsible for operating machinery used to bend and shape metal sheets into various forms requiring high precision and accuracy.
• Working on a range of materials, including mild steel, stainless steel, aluminium, and other alloys.
• Material ranges from 1-15mm, with the bulk of formed parts below 10mm thick.

Qualifications

• Previous Experience of operating CNC Press Brakes is essential.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting mechanical drawings and specifications.
• Ability to work with precision and accuracy for the production of component parts.
• Proficiency in measuring and handling sheet metal components
• Must have the ability to work safely and efficiently within an engineering environment.

Hours of work are Monday to Thursday 7am - 4:00 pm Fri 7am to 12:00 pm, 39hour working week plus overtime when available.

In return the company offers an excellent hourly rate negotiable dependent on experience.
