Pricing Analyst - RenewablesHere's what you'll be doing

npower Business Solutions (nBS) is the E.ON UK Industrial and Commercial (I&C) pillar and a market leader in the B2B energy retail sector. I&C is a £7 billion revenue business serving c20,000 customers and approximately 200,000 meter points.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Pricing Analyst to join our Generation Services team. For this role, you will be responsible for providing timely and accurate new business and renewals pricing for all export customers within Generation Services. You will be results orientated, with the ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment while delivering clear and concise reports to the Generation Services management team and key stakeholders. This role offers the hybrid working approach, where you will be working in the office (Solihull) 2 days per week.

Key responsibilities

  • Maintain cost reflective costing and pricing models to ensure pricing assumptions are up to date.
  • Adjust prices within day to mitigate market price risk in accordance with corporate risk strategy.
  • Support operations and sales departments through query management and process support. This will help ensure we deliver a right quote on time and eliminate re-pricing activity.
  • Develop new pricing processes to enhance business productivity and performance.
  • Communicate risks and issues to management through weekly and monthly reports.
  • Document all processes following development and/or the introduction of new products.
What we need from you
  • Experience within a commercial/analytical role.
  • Advanced level of numeracy, commercial judgement and analytical skills, with an ability to interpret complex, multiple sources of data.
  • An understanding of the UK Energy Market including wholesale, retail, renewables, distribution, conservation and generation market spaces.
  • The ability to develop new processes for the pricing and contract management of new products.
  • Good modelling skills, preferably in MS Excel/Access and VBA.
