Teaching Assistant, Wigan

Have you got experience of working with phonics groups?

Tradewind are working with a Primary School in Wigan to recruit an experienced reception Teaching Assistant who has also worked with groups of children focusing on phonics interventions. This member of staff will be working full time on a long-term temporary basis from November 2024 until March 2025 with the potential to extend

This 'Good' Primary School in Wigan have dedicated staff who work to ensure that they develop each child's individual abilities to reach their own full potential but also to grow as people. The teachers focus on developing English and Maths within school which has resulted in SATs scores being higher than the national average. The staff within school are very passionate, supportive and welcoming.

This school is based within Wigan and is accessible via public transport links.

To join us and be successful in this role you will need to:

• NVQ level 2 qualification
• Experience of working with EYFS children
• Experience of phonics
• Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
• CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible
• Legal right to work in the UK
