Primary Teaching Assistant

Job Overview:

NextGen teachers are looking to recruit a Primary Teaching Assistant for the Leeds area. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children, as well as having a strong knowledge of phonics frameworks and experience working with special educational needs children.

Non-negotiables:

• A level 2 or Level 3 in childcare
• Experience in childcare
• Strong communication skills
• An Enhanced child DBS (or willingness to complete one)
• Strong communication skills to liaise with parents/carers and staff

Roles:

• Supporting children in a classroom with their development
• Assisting the teacher with classroom preparation and planning
• Leading intervention and phonics groups
• Provide individualised support to children with Special Educational Needs
