Job Title: Private Client Solicitor

Salary: £55,000 - £65,000

Location: West Sussex

A fantastic opportunity has arisen with my client, a leading law firm based in East Sussex. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Private Client Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive to join a growing Private Client department. We are seeking candidates with 3+ years PQE who are looking to join a highly reputable firm as part of an ambitious growth strategy.

Duties include:

• Day to day conduct of matters on behalf of clients in respect of all private client matters including wills, trusts, probates and administration of estates and lasting powers of attorney.
• Explaining complex legal matters to clients
• Financial control with regard to cashflow control through collection of monies on account and billing procedures
• To meet agreed time recording, billing and recovery of costs targets
• To develop and maintain client relationships
• To ensure the client is regularly informed of work in progress and continuing contact is maintained
• To exercise high standards of client care in a professional and pleasant manner at all times
• To take positive steps to ensure that existing clients are aware of the various types of legal work carried out by the firm
• To participate in marketing activities organised by the Marketing department and taking advantage of networking and business development opportunities
• To maintain Lexcel compliance and comply with all regulatory obligation

The successful candidate will have:

• 3+ years PQE and prior experience working in a busy Private Client department.

• Knowledge of Wills, Powers of Attorney, and estate administration
• Ability to manage your workload
• A confident communicator with excellent client service skills
• A high degree of efficiency and accuracy
• Experience in marketing initiatives and promoting services

Package:

• £ 55,000 - £65,000
• 23 days annual leave + BH
• 5%/5% pension contributions
