This role offers the opportunity to join a growing law firm with established offices in the area and reporting to the Private Client Head of Department, the successful Paralegal will support the delivery of high-quality legal services while developing legal expertise within a dynamic and supportive environment.Key Responsibilities of the role will include: Engage with clients to gather essential information and provide updates on their cases.Schedule and attend client meetings, take detailed notes, and ensure that all follow-up actions are completed promptly.Assist in drafting and preparing legal documents, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and probate applications.Ensure all documentation is completed accurately and in compliance with legal standards.Organise and manage client files, ensuring all documentation is properly filed and easily accessible.Conduct legal research to support case preparation and provide informed advice to clients.Assist in the administration of estates, including asset valuation, preparation of estate accounts, and liaising with beneficiaries.Prepare applications for grants of probate and letters of administration.Ensure adherence to all relevant legal regulations and firm policies, with a particular focus on confidentiality and data protection.Provide general administrative support to the Private Client team, including photocopying, scanning, and filing documents.Assist with billing and time-recording activities.The ideal candidate will have a law degree or equivalent qualification (e.g., LPC or GDL) and a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Private Client department, alongside proven experience in supporting a private client caseload, including advising on and drafting wills, LPAs, and administering low-value probates, taking instructions from clients and liaising with co-executors and beneficiaries and familiarity with using a practice management system.In addition, the successful Private Client Paralegal will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong organizational and time management abilities, and high attention to detail and accuracy.
