Private Client Locum (Wills & Probate)
- Hourly Rate: Circa £30-£50 per hour (Depending on Experience)

- Job Type: Part Time Temporary Locum Support (2-3 days a week) - Ongoing
We are seeking an experienced Private Client Locum to join a team in Horley, Surrey. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Wills & Probate, providing expert legal advice and support to our clients. This role offers a competitive hourly rate and the opportunity to work with a reputable, friendly local firm.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Drafting Wills: Prepare and draft wills tailored to clients' individual needs and circumstances.
- Probate Administration: Manage the administration of estates, including obtaining grants of probate and letters of administration.
- Client Consultations: Conduct client consultations to understand their needs and provide appropriate legal advice.
- Legal Documentation: Prepare and review legal documents related to wills, probate, and estate planning.
- Compliance: Ensure all work complies with current legislation and regulatory requirements.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all client interactions and case progress.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Qualifications: Qualified solicitor or legal executive with fee-earning experience in Wills & Probate.
- Experience: Proven track record in private client work, particularly in wills, probate, and estate planning.
- Skills: Excellent drafting, communication, and client management skills.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of inheritance tax, trusts, and estate administration.
- Flexibility: Ability to work independently and manage a varied caseload.
- Availability: Immediate availability for a temporary/contract role.
