The Firm

A national firm that has seen huge growth over the last couple of years with office presence across UK. They hold exceptionally high levels of technical expertise across their regional offices and can offer exposure to a wide client base of large corporates as well as local Owner Managed Businesses to work with.

The Brief:

We are looking for a Private Client Tax Advisor who is keen to work across the north east region with local business owners providing an array of private client tax advisory services. You will be fortunate to have the support of a large regional team of specialists, who working collaboratively can offer a full range of advisory and compliance services for local and national businesses, as well as cross-selling with other service lines within the firm.

The Role:

  • Working from the office of your choice you will provide a range of tax services, managing a portfolio of clients, specialising in personal tax across a mix of compliance and advisory work
  • In meeting with your clients and developing a trusted rapport you will identify tax sensitive expenditure as well as wider tax issues that you will look to highlight and resolve
  • Communicating with internal departments to ensure deadlines are met, and overseeing client portfolios to ensure HMRC deadlines are met
  • Assist in managing the Private Client Tax team by hearing the voice of your team members, conduct appraisals, provide coaching of assignments to support the development of team skills and knowledge and continually improve the quality and delivery of work
  • Monitor your own utilisation, productivity and WIP
  • Confident providing guidance and feedback to others in the team

Experience required:

  • We are looking for the successful applicant to be CTA/ACA/ACCA or the equivalent
  • You will be working in a private client tax advisory (or mixed tax) position, able to bring your years of expertise to the position
  • Exposure to working with a range of businesses sectors and sizes is advantageous
  • Possess strong technical knowledge and the ability to undertake research into complex areas of tax legislation.
  • Applicants must have the right to work in the UK / possess a current valid VISA.
