Associate - Private Wealth (FTC)

  • Job Type: Full-time, Temporary (12-month FTC)

An award winning, Legal500 “Best Law Firm 2025” is seeking a confident and capable Associate to join our Private Wealth Team in Woking on a 12-month fixed term contract. This role offers a hybrid working model, combining both office and home working to allow flexibility. The successful candidate will ideally spend three days a week in the Woking office. We cater to a diverse mix of clients, including those with business interests, assets abroad, and complex family structures. This position provides an opportunity to work within a collaborative and supportive team environment, enhancing your expertise in private wealth management.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Continue the administration of various probates and handle full spectrum private client matters including:
    • Lifetime and succession planning.
    • Advising on the structure of Wills as part of a broader estate planning strategy.
    • Managing Lasting Powers of Attorney.
    • Creation, administration, and winding up of trusts.
    • Regular client meetings to advise on the above.
  • Self-manage fee income targets.
  • Assist with business development and marketing efforts.
  • Administration functions within the team/department.
  • Manage and encourage key developer relationships and foster new ones.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience as a Private Wealth Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive, particularly in respect of estate administration.
  • Capable of managing your own caseload of private client matters.
  • Willingness to support on complex matters requiring wider team involvement.
  • Excellent communication skills with a passion for helping clients achieve their goals.
  • Creative thinking and a team-focused mindset.
  • Demonstrated passion for achieving the right outcomes for clients and the firm.
