Your Responsibilities
The Process Control Engineer will form part of the process control and automation Technology centre and will have responsibility for process control engineering at our Purfleet location, both Refinery and Pack hall operations, as well as supporting the Technology centre goals, projects and initiatives & providing technical support and assistance across all operations departments. Duties will include;
- To be accountable for the implementation and maintenance of reliable process control systems.
- Be part of a rota providing 24/7 call support for control system operation.
- To Increase the digital maturity level and reduce obsolescence on site through upgrades and enhancements.
- To design, configure and implement process control solutions adopting ADM standards.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant H&S, Quality and Environmental legislation.
- To assist in the investigation of plant performance issues and initiatives.
- To manage and advise contractors in relation to process control and specific projects.
Your Profile
- An MSc, BSc, MEng or BEng in Process Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a similar discipline with a strong affinity to the process industry (or experience working at this level).
- 3+ years of experience with process control in an industrial environment.
- Experience with distributed control systems Honeywell, Emerson DeltaV or Rockwell PlantPAx preferred. Honeywell systems is advantageous.
- Experience with industrial I/O and PLC platforms Siemens, Rockwell, Honeywell, Emerson.
- Understanding of Industrial Networks (ie. Ethernet, Profibus, Modbus, etc.)
- Familiarity with data historians such as OSIsoft PI Historian.
- Experience in the OT environment with regards to VM Servers, Networking and Cybersecurity.
- Knowledge of Industrial Process Control including instrumentation, AC/DC Electrical systems, Piping & Instrument Diagrams.
- Ability to troubleshoot, solve, and repair issues with process control systems and work safely with and around AC & DC voltages up to 110V
- Strong communication skills & the ability to work well under pressure.
- Good MS Office skills.
