We are looking for procurement professionals that have both direct and indirect category management experience to join our client. Experience of the whole procurement cycle is essential.
As the Category Manager, you will act as the commercial expert for your category. Leveraging your market expertise, you will develop and implement strategies to ensure that our client remains a leader in commercial arrangements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supplier Management: Oversee a portfolio of suppliers, ensuring continuous improvement and added value throughout the contract lifecycle.
- Market Insight: Provide in-depth category knowledge and market insights to internal stakeholders. Develop category strategies, support sourcing events, and manage category-level risks.
- Commercial Expertise: Utilize your commercial expertise to help swiftly adapt to market changes.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate proactively with internal stakeholders to shape category strategies, understand business needs, and manage spending and suppliers.
- Tender Management: Lead and evaluate competitive tenders and proposals for goods and services.
- Supplier Interface: Serve as a key contact with suppliers within the category.
- Reporting: Ensure timely and accurate reporting on sourcing projects using available tools.
- Compliance: Adhere to company and department standards, policies, and procedures.
