Procurement Category Officer - Morgan Law : Job Details

My Kent based public sector client is looking for a Procurement Officer to join them on a permanent basis. Reporting into the Category Manager, your role will be a key part of the procurement team and will take responsibility for delivering procurement support as well as managing end to end procurement projects in line with public sector procurement regulations.

Your role will include:

• Procuring new contracts, in line with PCR 2015 and the new procurement act, ensuring best value is delivered.
• Providing support to the Category Manager and developing new approaches to the market
• Help develop category and sub-category strategies
• Prepare tender documents and analyse tender responses
• Help generate opportunities for savings and efficiencies as well a support with contract formation and contract management.

This role requires a candidate with some previous experience in public sector procurement, ideally from and FM background.

The role is based in Maidstone, with 3 days in the office. The salary on offer is circa £35,000 to £40,000.
