Delifresh, a leading UK food supply provider for hospitality and events, is renowned for delivering top-quality, sustainable ingredients that chefs rely on to create culinary magic. As they embark on a period of growth, Delifresh is seeking a dynamic Procurement Director to join the Board and lead Procurement and New Product Development (NPD). This key role will collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to deliver innovative, high-quality products.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the development and execution of the procurement and NPD strategy to support business growth.
• Identify and source new, exciting products from regional, national, and international suppliers that align with their commitment to quality and sustainability.
• Partner with the Sales Team and customers to align procurement with market needs, ensuring product relevance and excellence.
• Motivate and inspire a team of buyers and NPD professionals to drive innovation and performance.
• Set, measure, and report on procurement and NPD performance, ensuring alignment with business goals.
• Manage inventory levels, ensure operational feasibility, and foster strategic supplier relationships.
• Uphold and promote Delifresh’s core values, ensuring they are embedded in everything they do.

Who We’re Looking For:

We need a proven leader with a track record in procurement, ideally within the fresh food industry, who thrives in a fast-paced environment. You’ll balance creativity and innovation with operational discipline, bringing a strategic mindset, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to inspire and lead teams.

Essential Experience:

• Significant leadership experience in procurement, ideally within fresh food supply.
• Strong commercial acumen with a focus on contractual negotiations, supplier management, and budgeting.
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment with diverse customers across multiple locations.
• A passion for sustainability and driving ethical sourcing practices.
