Job Location : Essex, UK
An opportunity to lead the procurement function of this non-for-profit organisation based in Essex. Available on a hybrid working basis with just 1-2 days per week in the office, this newly created role reports to the CEO. This stand-alone position will take ownership for all procurement activity and will be an integral part of the SLT and make a strong contribution to their ongoing success while making a huge social contribution.The role will take personal responsibility for all local spend across a wide range of indirect expenditure with the opportunity to influence and shape wider group activity and strategy. Key areas of focus pertain to: supporting business planning activity; develop and embed the procurement strategy; providing procurement expertise to internal stakeholders; driving relevant procurement activity from end to end; drive supplier performance and innovation; and embed best practice in contract management.
Demonstrable procurement experience is required with a track-record of applying procurement skill set across a varied spend profile. With strong influencing and relationship building skills, you will be able to demonstrate how these have been applied and successes achieved both as a working as a business partner with key internal stakeholders and equally with driving strategic partnerships with suppliers. A self-motivated and positive approach to work is a pre-requisite with a strong customer focus required. Working in a public sector or non-for-profit environment, you will have demonstrable expertise of running end to end procurement across PCR2015 and ideally have completed the PA23 training.
