Procurement Manager
- Annual Salary: £40k - £55k DOE + Bonus
- Location: West Norfolk – office based. Ability to travel as needed for supplier qualification and relationship management.

Role Overview:
On behalf of my client, I am seeking a dedicated and energetic Procurement Manager to centralise and commercialise their buying functions. This role is crucial for maintaining their supply chain efficiency and achieving their brand promise of 95% OTIF by 2025. The successful candidate will manage a team of 2 buyers, work closely with the warehousing team and project managers, and report directly to the Head of Operations.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Form an understanding of our existing suppliers, their history, products, and services.
- Conduct monthly analysis of stock levels to identify anomalies and remedy them daily using our CalWin stock system.
- Centralise the buying function in the business, integrating forecasting from project managers.
- Source and qualify new suppliers, including travelling to test their capabilities.
- Set up and manage the tender process for key goods and services, delivering on agreed savings.
- Build long-term strategic relationships with suppliers and vendors to negotiate more profitable deals.
- Support the business in achieving the 95% OTIF brand promise from a Supply Chain perspective by 2025.
- Analyse, evaluate, and report on Supply Chain & Procurement related data to identify opportunities for improvements.
- Address day-to-day issues within the Supply Chain, such as delivery delays, trading terms, and quality control.
- Ensure supply chain processes meet legal standards and company requirements.
- Monitor Purchase Order receipts to ensure correct stock reception.
- Lead and mentor the procurement team to drive efficient resource use.
- Identify opportunities for sales/estimating to utilise alternative products/services offering a commercial advantage.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in procurement and stock management.
- Strong negotiation skills and excellent relationship management.
- Ability to travel as needed for supplier qualification and relationship management.
- Experience in leading and mentoring a team.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in managing data.
- Knowledge of legal requirements related to supply chain processes.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with all levels of management and staff.
