Product Analyst

Location: London (Hybrid - once or twice a week)

Contract: Initial 3 months, possible extensions

Rate: £500/day inside IR35

Our Digital & Innovation team leverages user research and insights to design, test, and build solutions across Housing, Smart Cities, and Report It. Our multi-disciplinary teams, including colleagues from Digital, Data, and Technology, use agile principles to deliver value quickly.

The Role: We are seeking a skilled Product Analyst to join our Report It team. This role is crucial in defining both functional and non-functional requirements across three Report It teams. You will work closely with other Product Analysts and Product Managers within a growing Community of Practice, reporting to the Lead Product Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Requirements Definition: Identify, analyse, and define functional and non-functional requirements to drive the design and development of products.
  • Technical Specifications: Scope, draft, and manage technical specifications and documentation.
  • Process Mapping: Conduct as-is and to-be process mapping, working with users and stakeholders across the business to define these journeys.
  • User Stories: Draft and define user stories, acceptance criteria, and the definition of done for our product teams.
  • Collaboration: Work across product teams and wider programmes to contribute to decision-making for design, development, and procurement.

What We're Looking For:

  • Experience: Previous product analysis or architecture experience within a multi-disciplinary team, evidenced on your CV. Must also have Central or Local Government experience.
  • Functional Requirements: Strong examples of defining functional requirements.
  • Hybrid Working: Ability to work from Central London once or twice a week, depending on team needs and schedules.
  • Team Player: Ability to collaborate effectively with other Product Analysts and Product Managers.
