Salary: Up to £55,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities will include:
  • Accountable to the Sponsor(s) for leading projects, to deliver the agreed Business Case outcomes and benefits within time, cost, and quality constraints.
  • Day to day management and leadership of the project and the project team.
  • Provide effective leadership and management controls.
  • Accountable for the creation and delivery of the project management plan, ensuring it contains quality information to successfully deliver of the project’s objectives.
  • Create detailed schedules (containing time, effort, resources, and dependencies) using Project Management best practice and ways of working.
  • Provide resource estimates to line managers to plan in capabilities to deliver
  • Set project controls and ‘stop / go’ decision points.
  • Design the project structure and organisation appropriate to stage, agreeing appropriate delivery methodologies with PMO.
  • Manage effective transition between project phases.
  • Support development of the Business Case when applicable.
  • Develop appropriate financial tracking models to deliver within budget.
  • Identify skill requirements at all stages of the project, recruit resources within budget constraints, oversee effective deployment of resources including building the project team; delegation of roles and responsibilities; developing capability and fostering innovation.
  • Ensure benefits are identified, understood, measured, tracked, and owned.
  • Ensure appropriate Benefits Realisation Strategy is in place and transitioned for longer term delivery of benefits against the Business Case.
  • Work collaboratively with the Sponsor to jointly manage senior stakeholders.
  • Manage stakeholder communications and ensure buy-in.
  • Form collaborative relationships with key stakeholders both internally and externally.
  • Build consensus across a large and often diverse group of stakeholders.
  • Ensure project risks and issues are identified, prioritised, assessed and mitigation actions developed, implemented, and monitored throughout the life of the project.
  • Provide all reporting as required by the delivery route identified by PMO.
  • Engage with PMO QA reviews and act on recommendations.
  • Organise assurance processes such as gateway reviews, as required by PMO.
  • Ensure effective Change Management processes are in place to agree and document changes to deliverables as agreed with stakeholders.
Experience
  • 4+ years proven Project Management background (required)
  • Demonstrable application of Project Management methodologies (required)
  • Demonstrable application of planning complex projects (required)
  • Experience of budgeting and financial management (required)
  • Experience of business change and communication (required)
  • Awareness of Business Analysis practices (required)
  • Advanced MS Office Skills - Word, Excel (required)
  • PPM tool experience (desirable)
  • Awareness of IT services and operations (desirable)
  • Awareness of Gambling industry regulation and compliance (desirable)
