The Product Marketing Manager will be responsible for managing the product strategy, from creation through to implementation, delivering on positioning, life cycle and go-to-market strategies. You will support new product development and deliver pricing and promotion strategies through informed data and marketing best practices.
You will become an expert in the characteristics and positioning of the organisation's brand, product, and services. You will drive new product launches with effective project management, go-to-market marketing execution and monitor post-launch performance
Responsibilities
Product Marketing:
- Drive product campaigns from market opportunity assessment to execution including developing the business case, market research, marketing, and support plans.
- Identify and execute strategic themes to drive competitive positioning and ensure awareness of key product strengths and differentiators.
- Craft product marketing messages and unique selling points that set the brand and products apart from the rest of the market.
- Deliver effective copywriting, product positioning and messaging, and assist in the development of graphical product and production assets
Product Lifecycle Management:
- Monitor key market trends, conduct competitor analysis, and track and analyse the performance of our products, to drive category reviews and inform product strategy
- Develop, manage and monitor the product portfolio, to develop product mix strategies which identify gaps and fill market needs
- Analyse performance data and deliver appropriate pricing and promotion tactics
Product Development:
- Become the product subject matter expert, using insights into product capabilities, customer needs, and competitive landscape, to develop and drive effective marketecture and inform new product development
- Create and execute go-to-market plans for new products, specifically developing messaging and market positioning around products
- Work with product management teams to develop timelines and deadlines for new product development and launch activities
- Present products to both internal teams and clients, discussing sales strategy and using market research to establish product pricing
- Project management and hands-on execution of go-to-market content creation including copywriting of key market assets
- Work with global markets to develop product launching and promotion activities, share best practices and ensure compliance.
- Drive post-launch tracking and marketing activity
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, Business, or a related field
- Vast product-specific marketing experience, including creating go-to-market plans for new and existing products.
- Experience with market segmentation, competitive positioning and USP development
- Demonstrable experience in managing marketing campaigns from concept to completion.
- Proven track record in go-to-market product launches and marketing campaigns
- Strong project management skills and managing timelines and milestones
- Strong skills in creating scalable marketing content
- Excellent communication skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
