Production Assistant - Quattro Foods : Job Details

We are a leading food manufacturer based in Portsmouth looking for an adaptable and flexible Production Assistant to join our team.

The role involves working as part of the production team batching and packing finished goods such as soups and sauces. A keen eye for detail is essential for checking batch codes, use by dates and temperature checks. The ideal candidate will be able to work well as part of a team and also be able to work independantly. The factory floor is a fast paced environment and the role can be very physical at times.

Tasks for the role involve (but are not limited to):

• Removing ingredients from primary packaging
• Carrying out cleaning duties as required
• Weighing finished goods and checking the seals
• Removing finished goods from chill tanks and placing them into the chiller
• Filling production depositors
• Labelling and palletising finished goods
• Batching recipes
• Completing daily paperwork
• Maintaining food handling and allergen procedures

Once all training requirements have been met for the Production Assistant role, there will be an opportunity to progress to a Production Operative.

The hours of work are currently Monday - Friday 09:00-17:45
