Production Managers opportunity in this surface treatments & paint spraying facility. This key varied role supports the general manager by ensuring effective and safe running of the factory. You'll play a key role in ensuring quality, cost efficiency, safety, and effective team management to maximise production capacity and meet delivery and sales targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute production plans and schedules.
- Optimise labour use to enhance productivity.
- Plan for training, personal improvement plans, and overtime as needed.
- Oversee production processes and ensure quality and safety standards are met.
- Coordinate with internal and external customers to provide delivery timelines.
- Create production schedules using Microsoft Excel and ERP systems.
- Supervise production staff, providing guidance and performance evaluations.
- Mentor employees to boost team morale and foster a positive culture.
- Identify and implement productivity improvements and cost reductions.
- Ensure proper maintenance of production equipment.
- Collaborate with the purchasing department for raw material supply.
- Participate in daily standups and meetings.
- Maintain quality standards and align processes with the QMS.
- Assist in root cause analysis and record scrap and rework.
- Ensure health and safety standards are met.
- Conduct spot checks, audits, and stock counts for effective housekeeping.
Skills and Experience:
- Experience in a supervisory or production management role in a surface treatments or paint facility.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Experience in resource planning and continuous improvement.
- Familiarity with LEAN manufacturing or similar methodologies.
- Willingness to work additional hours on Fridays as needed.
- Support the implementation of the Epicor Kinetic ERP system.
- Initiative to drive and improve production throughput.
