Our client operates in the manufacturing sector, producing high-quality products for various industries. They are seeking a highly organized and experienced Production Manager to oversee daily production operations and ensure efficiency across the manufacturing floor.The Production Manager will ideally have the following attributes:
- Proven experience as a Production Manager or similar role in a manufacturing environment
- Relevant qualifications in Engineering, Manufacturing, or Operations Management (BEng, HND, etc.)
- Strong knowledge of production management principles and manufacturing processes
- Excellent leadership and team management skills
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet production targets
The Production Manager role will involve:
- Overseeing the day-to-day production operations to ensure efficiency and product quality
- Managing a team of production staff, providing training, guidance, and performance feedback
- Planning and organizing production schedules, ensuring on-time delivery
- Monitoring production KPIs and implementing process improvements to optimize output
- Collaborating with other departments such as quality control, maintenance, and supply chain to address production challenges
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety standards and maintaining a safe working environment
- Managing budgets and resources effectively to achieve production goals
