Production Operative - Howdens Joinery : Job Details

Howdens Work Surfaces is part of Howden Joinery PLC and is the UK’s largest manufacturer of solid and natural work surfaces. As part of Howdens continued growth, we have introduced a new product line, and are seeking Production Operatives to join our specialist manufacturing facility at Holme-on-Spalding Moor, East Yorkshire. 

Pay rate and shift pattern:

• £15.62ph +  shift allowance + monthly production bonus and daily meal allowance 
• Rotating day 5:45am - 2.00pm and afternoon shift 1:45pm - 10.00pm (Monday to Friday)
• Opportunities for overtime
• Opportunities to train as Machine Operator.  You will need to meet the required competencies, and if successful, the base pay rate will increase to £19.18ph 

What you will be doing:

As Production Operative you will be responsible for the production of solid surfaces by setting, monitoring and performing quality checks on saws, polishing machine and CNC with current standard operating procedures and health and safety processes.
