Join our Operations team as a Sawing Operative, where you will be integral in processing jobs through sawing operations. This role is suited for a highly motivated individual keen to expand their experience in a dynamic and evolving environment.

• Operate 7 semi-automatic Kasto band saws as per the work list.
• Handle job extractions using lifting equipment such as slings, cranes, and FLT.
• Utilise PDA systems for moving jobs through the system and adapt to new systems as they are implemented.
• Conduct weighing, measuring, and inspection of orders prior to dispatch.
• Manage packing and dispatching of goods.
• Maintain safety and quality standards using a visual management system.
• Assist in the cleaning and tidying of machines at the end of shifts or during job changeovers.
• Engage in part marking and deburring of cut billets.
• Operate floor cleaning machines to maintain cleanliness.
• Support other operations team members and leaders in various manufacturing tasks.
• Uphold high levels of housekeeping and manage swarf effectively.
• Adhere to the company’s health and safety policies.
• Report maintenance needs and manage coolant/blade stock to ensure minimum quantities are maintained.

• Experience with overhead cranes.
• Strong team player and computer literate.
• FLT Licence is desirable but not essential.

• Knowledge of the Metal Industry.
• Experience in cutting high nickel alloys.
• Time served as a Kasto band saw operator.

• £28,000 annual salary including a 16% shift allowance.

• Rotating shift pattern:
  • Mornings: 6am-2pm Mon – Fri
  • Afternoons: 2pm – 11pm Mon, Tue, Wed; 2pm – 10.30pm Thu; 2pm – 6pm Fri.
• Flexibility to work overtime and potential night shifts depending on business needs.
