Production Supervisor Location: CoventryDuration: Permanent RoleSalary: £35,100 per annum (inclusive of shift allowance)Night Shift: Monday to Friday 22:00 - 06:00 Empowered Personnel is recruiting a Production Supervisor for a company based in Coventry who are rapidly growing their ambition’s to become the UK’S leading applicator of corrosion inhibiting coatings. Our client provides consistently a high quality service with 24 hour lead times therefore this role is working in a very reactive demanding environment. As a Production Supervisor, you will be required to maintain the efficient and effective processing customers products working in accordance to the daily production schedule. As the Production Supervisor, you must be a hands on leader in addition to overseeing the production working with chemical coatings in a fast faced, very reactive and demanding environment. As the Production Supervisor, you must have excellent extensive knowledge in electroplating and demonstrate your expertise in the process of coating metal by electrolysis to be considered for the role. Key Responsibilities:As a Production Supervisor, you will be required to maintain the efficient and effective processing customers products working in accordance to the daily production schedule. As the Production Supervisor, you must lead with a hands on approach in addition to overseeing and maintaining production. You will be working with chemical corrosion materials in a fast faced, very reactive and demanding environment so you must have the ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines. As the Production Supervisor you will be taking a responsibility to ensure the plant, equipment and chemistry is fit for purpose and maintained to high standards. - Operator Supervision: Ensure General Operators load and unload products correctly and efficiently, using the correct tooling and correct quantities adhering to customer specifications preventing damage to products or coatings.- Inspection and Testing: Oversee that General Operators and Shift Inspectors perform 100% visual inspections, XRF thickness tests, and other required testing as per route cards and customer specifics.- Hands On Production: Assist with duties outlined in the General Operator job description when possible to support and lead production efforts.- Shift Coordination / Supervisor Meetings: Before your shift ends, discuss current requirements and issues with the incoming Shift Supervisor. Attend Shift Supervisor meetings as scheduled to stay informed and communicate relevant information.- Quality Control: ISO & ITAF accredited, you will be required to ensure all work is inspected and validated to meet customer specifications, with all necessary paperwork completed accurately.- Production Management: Select appropriate customer products for processing to meet the production schedule and customer requirements. Update the production board as needed and ensure all administrative paperwork relevant to the production during your shift has been accurately completed. - Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance as detailed in the general working instructions, ensuring that the plant, equipment, and chemistry are in optimal working condition. Report any defective, broken, or worn equipment immediately to the Maintenance Engineer and Operations Manager.- Customer and Supplier Interaction: Interact professionally with customers and suppliers, both in person and via the production phone line, ensuring respectful and effective communication.Skills / Experience Required For The Role:- Knowledge or experience in electroplating is essential to be considered for this role. - Experience in a supervisory role, within a manufacturing or production environment.- Strong commitment to quality assurance and attention to detail.- Proficiency in maintaining production schedules and managing equipment maintenance.- Excellent leadership and communication skills.- Flexibility to adapt to shift changes and operational demands.Benefits:- 25 days of holiday plus 8 bank holidays- Weekly pay (monthly pay is an option should you prefer monthly)- Annual bonus- Career progression - Monthly medical’s- Pension This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and detail oriented individual to lead a team in a fast paced production environment.
