Programme Manager – 12-Month Contract – London

£1,000-1,200 (PAYE, Umbrella Rate)

Location: London (Hybrid: 3 days in the office, 2 days remote)

Our client is seeking a Programme Manager with current/recent Investment Management experience to play a key role in defining and delivering strategic programmes. Your responsibilities will include overseeing multiple workstreams, ensuring alignment with business objectives, and driving successful outcomes through strong leadership, governance, and stakeholder collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define, plan, and execute programme strategies, ensuring alignment with organisational goals.
• Oversee workstreams, managing interdependencies and fostering effective communication.
• Lead programme planning, delivery, risk management, and resource allocation.
• Act as the central point of contact for updates and decision-making across the programme.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, vendors, and partners to ensure smooth delivery.
• Establish robust governance frameworks and maintain detailed documentation.
• Monitor and report on programme performance, highlighting risks and opportunities, be hands on with RAID Logs (as you won’t have a PMO).

REQUIRED You bring a wealth of experience and a results-oriented mindset to this role. Ideally, you have:

• 4+ recent years of programme and project management experience in large-scale initiatives for at least one other asset management firm.
• Certification in project management methodologies (Prince2, PMP, or similar).
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
• Experience managing technology and enterprise data programs.
• Exceptional communication and organisational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and industry-standard tools (Azure DevOps, Clarity, etc.).

Desirable:

• Financial services designations (e.g., CFA, CAIA, CPA).
• PMI or Agile certification.
• Experience with Aladdin /eFront or other Blackrock products
