Are you a creative person who loves working with communities and connecting people and places? Our Programming and Partnerships Officer plays an important role in helping everyone to feel welcome when they visit and making sure they get the most out of their day.
Weekend and Bank Holiday working will be required.
What it's like to work hereThis role works as part of the Visitor Experience and Operations team at the Lacock and North Wiltshire Portfolio. You'll be based at Lacock Abbey with regular working from The Courts Garden.
The visitor operation is led by the Property Operations Manager, you'll be managed by the Senior Programming and Partnerships officer.
Visitors flock to this quirky 13th century abbey to enjoy the museum dedicated to photographic pioneer William Henry Fox Talbot. Outdoor theatre, photography exhibitions and family trails are among the innovative events run by the 40 staff members and local volunteers, making for a lively and fun visitor experience. It’s likely you will need your own transport to get here, however this is a great opportunity to join a welcoming team and contribute to an exciting programme of events.

What you'll be doingAs part of the Visitor Operations and Experience team, you’ll be devising and running a programme of events and activities with partnerships at their heart. Providing activities and experiences that help visitors to engage with our places and ensure that they have the great a time with us.
As well as planning and organising a programme of events to run in all the places covered by your role, you’ll be linking these events to the places themselves to make sure they’re both relevant and appealing to people.
You'll be responsible for some budgets and will be supervising a team of volunteers.
