Resourcery is currently supporting a prestigious not-for-profit organisation in their search for a highly skilled Project Accountant. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to join a successful and growing team, making a real impact within the organisation. The Project Accountant will report to the Financial Controller and will be responsible for overseeing the grants and funding for various projects.
Responsibilities:
- Provide accurate and timely financial information on grants and funding, both internally and externally
- Act as the finance focal point for grants-related issues, including budgeting, cash flow management, reporting, and auditing
- Analyse budget and actual costs, and prepare project profit and loss statements for internal key stakeholders
- Support the organisation through precise financial performance reporting
- Manage administrative duties related to grants, including setting up new grants/funding once secured
- Collaborate closely with AP and AR teams to ensure efficient billing and invoicing processes
- Maintain database and records accurately and efficiently
- Handle internal and external queries regarding grants and funding
Requirements:
- Prior experience in a similar position with strong exposure to grants and funding
- Experience in reporting and accounting in the not-for-profit sector
- AAT qualified, CIMA/ACCA part qualified is desirable
- Excellent communication skills
- Proficient in Excel, specifically with VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables
