Distinct is supporting a Service business to recruit an interim Finance Manager. This is an ongoing short-term contract. The role is based in Nottingham with hybrid work offered.
The primary focus of this role will be to ensure a smooth transition from Sage to Xero integrating Xero with their billing system.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the complete setup of Xero and manage the transfer of data from Sage to Xero
- Test and troubleshoot the integration to guarantee functionality and reliability
- Liaise with software businesses
- Perform month-end close processes and develop comprehensive management reporting packs
- Identify opportunities to optimise financial workflows and reporting processes.
- Provide recommendations for ongoing system improvements and efficiencies
- Monitor and report on the performance of the integrated systems to ensure alignment with business needs
Requirements:
- Proven expertise with Xero, including setup, migration, and system integration
- Experience in financial reporting, month-end close, and margin reporting
- Analytical mindset with a focus on accuracy and detail
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot system integration issues
