Your new companyMy Public Sector client in Manchester is looking for a Prince2 Project Manager to join the organisation on a 2-year FTC.
Your new roleThe Project Manager will play a pivotal role in coordinating and managing AI development projects across the organisation. This position involves working closely with cross functional stakeholders and external partners to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget. The successful candidate will have a strong background in project management, excellent communication and stakeholder skills, and will have a keen interest in AI technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Planning and Execution: Develop detailed business cases, project plans, timelines, and resource allocation strategies for AI projects.
- Team Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams to facilitate project execution and resolve any issues that may arise.
- Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, providing regular updates and reports on project progress, risks, and outcomes.
- Budget Management: Oversee project budgets, track expenditures, and ensure projects are completed within financial constraints.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project charters, status reports, and post-project evaluations.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure that all AI projects adhere to the organisations' quality standards and ethical guidelines, particularly regarding data security and privacy.
- Grant and Funding Coordination: Assist in the preparation of grant proposals and reports related to AI projects, ensuring compliance with funding agency requirements.
What you'll need to succeed
- Experienced in delivering a range of projects across a large and complex environment
- Evidenced delivery of reporting to governance bodies and managing key stakeholders
- Successful set-up of project structures, processes, tools & methods
- Professional development of project management resources including all aspects of people management
- Knowledge of a wide range of change management and methodologies such as Agile and Lean
- Experience of business intelligence strategy and reporting
- Professional certifications such as PRINCE2 / APMQ or equivalent qualifications
What you'll get in returnYou can expect a salary in the region of £45,000 to £55,000 (depending on experience), along with 29 days annual leave, flexible working (office based at least two days a week) and an attractive pension scheme.
