We are partnering with a construction company specialising in decorative plasterwork for prestigious projects. They are currently seeking a Project Manager to join their team.
Location: Office in Sutton, with sites across Central London.
Salary: Up to £60K per annum, depending on experience
Responsibilities:
- Ensure that all work is carried out to a high standard and within the project timeline.
- Manage site teams and resources across various projects to ensure timely delivery.
- Oversee the commercial management of projects.
- Act as the primary client contact, building and maintaining strong relationships.
- Review client drawings and programmes, preparing subprogrammes to meet requirements or flag potential issues.
- Coordinate material orders from the workshop for timely delivery to sites.
- Ensure all site work is completed safely and work areas remain tidy.
- Write method statements and risk assessments as necessary.
- Manage projects from order through to final account, including monthly valuations.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in construction, ideally in a related sector (e.g. ceilings, dry-lining, joinery, contracting).
- Strong commercial acumen.
- Proficient in Excel and other relevant software.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- A proactive attitude with a desire to learn and improve.
- Experience in preparing and reading drawings and programmes of works.
