We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to work with a key technology function within a renowned UK postal service provider. This role involves defining and delivering technology solutions within their Commercial workstream as part of a transformation programme.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Lead the planning and implementation of project tasks within a technology function.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure effective project execution.
- Manage project scope, schedule, and resources effectively.
- Monitor project progress and make adjustments as necessary to ensure successful project completion.
- Maintain communication with all stakeholders, providing regular updates and resolving any issues that arise.
- Ensure that all project deliverables meet quality standards and client expectations.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Demonstrable experience in project management, successfully delivering projects.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging with a broad audience.
- Strong stakeholder and people management skills, able to handle challenging interactions.
- Commercial acumen with experience in value-driven supplier management.
- Financial management skills.
- Technical knowledge to support the project team in issue resolution.
- Experience with both traditional and modern IT development lifecycles (Agile, Iterative, Waterfall).
- Resilient, persistent, and innovative with excellent problem-solving abilities.
Desirable:
- Experience in Agile/Lean environments using SCRUM, KANBAN, or XP delivery frameworks.
- Familiarity with Continuous Improvement practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Jira, HP Application Lifecycle Management, and MS Office tools.
- Experience managing multiple external suppliers.
- Background in logistics or consultancy is advantageous.
