Programme / Project Manager – Defence Sector / construction £650 outside IR35, Reading 12 month contract SC / DV clearance, must have UK passport, no dual passport holders consideredWe need a Cell Lead / Project/ Programme Manager for a complex project within the defence sector near to Reading.As a Cell Lead / Programme / Project Manager, you'll step into a role where your leadership skills will be paramount. You will oversee project delivery, drive schedule adherence, and navigate complex supply chain coordination. This position offers a unique challenge and the chance to collaborate with high-level stakeholders, ensuring each phase of the project meets stringent standards. As the Cell Lead / Programme / Project Manager you will be involved in:

• Lead the day-to-day management and ensure delivery on project commitments, maintaining strict schedule and budget adherence.
• Build and manage strong relationships with clients, supply chain partners, and internal teams, ensuring effective and clear communication throughout the project lifecycle.
• Direct weekly and monthly programme review sessions, keeping both immediate and long-term project goals on track and addressing potential risks.
• Provide strategic guidance to the supply chain, overseeing contract management (NEC3 & NEC4), and ensuring smooth coordination among contractors.
• Uphold the highest standards of nuclear safety and quality, leading by example and ensuring compliance at all stages.
• Foster an inclusive, motivated project team environment, promoting best practices and guiding the application of project controls and commercial management.
• Implement robust risk and opportunity management processes to keep projects progressing smoothly and mitigate any challenges that arise.

As the Cell Lead / Project / Programme Manager you will have:

• A proven background in leading the delivery of large, complex projects within high-stakes environments within defence and construction
• Security Clearance: Must hold or be eligible to obtain Security Clearance (SC level minimum, some roles require DV).
• Expertise in working with NEC contracts, handling critical timelines, and driving collaborative project outcomes.
