Location: 250 Euston Road, Camden NW1 2AF

Department: Medicines Optimisation

Hours: 37.5 hours per week - Monday - Friday 9.00am - 5.00pm (Only 1 day per week is required in the office, 4 days per week can be worked remotely)

Trust Location: North Central London Integrated Care Board

Role type: Temporary for 2 months with possibility of extension

NHS North Central London Integrated Care Board (NCL ICB) is a statutory body responsible for planning and allocating health and care resources to improve the lives of people in our five boroughs: Barnet, Camden, Enfield, Haringey, and Islington.

This role sits within the CMO and Place Directorate. The Directorate will hold key statutory and delegated responsibilities for commissioning, contracting and service improvement relating to primary care and community pharmacy provision at system and local level. It will be the route through which we deliver major commitments in the Population Health and Integrated Care Strategy and inform system priorities. It will play a crucial role in the development of borough partnerships, local integrated care and neighbourhood working.

What you'll be responsible for:

Project Management

  • Lead the creation and maintenance of the Medicines Optimisation work programme/ plan liaising with colleagues (e.g. Heads of) to; log all key actions and projects, identifying interdependencies across projects/ functions, investigate the causes of any variance from target/ plan, supporting proactive risk management (identifying, recording, mitigating, tracking), and proactively contribute to the implementation of solutions.
  • Lead on and deliver specific projects, requiring an understanding of the business and high degree of detailed review and collation of information relative to initiatives for Medicines Optimisation.
  • Work with scheme and project leads to ensure that the necessary documentation is completed, including the scheme templates, underpinning business cases, equality impact assessments (EQIA) and avoiding unnecessary duplication.
  • Ensure that all projects follow the same agreed process and that the robust process for the consideration and approval of all projects is followed.
  • Participate in relevant internal and external working groups/ projects, services, and initiatives which may be complex, sensitive, political, and contain contentious information with the aim of providing information and analytical support to the teams.
  • Work closely with colleagues from enabler work stream (digital, workforce) leads to ensure dependencies between programmes are mapped and actively managed

This role may require you to show evidence of vocational level 3 qualification or at least 2 years relevant experience.

Stakeholder Management

  • Provide high quality service for all internal and external stakeholders. Acting as the go-to person and an important local 'face' for Medicines Optimisation, communicating in a professional and confident manner (face to face, phone, email, etc).
  • Develop a system of strong communications management around the internal and external networks that interface with, and within, the Directorate and ICB - fostering positive working relationships, including the ability to negotiate and influence with individuals/ stakeholders at all levels regardless of seniority.
  • Regular liaison and relationship building with NCL ICB colleagues across Directorates and the wider ICS.
  • Ensure that the flow of data and information is timely, accurate and to a consistently high standard with confidentiality and security maintained at all times.
  • Work with the NCL GP Website Team to lead on the development and co-design of Medicines Optimisation content, including secure access, harmonisation, maintenance of associated content etc.
  • Support, via Communications and Engagement, the development of Medicines Optimisation content for use in a variety of communication channels e.g. ICB webpage, newsletters

You'll have the following skills/experience:

  • Project Management / Business Management experience
  • Prince2 qualification (desirable but not essential)
  • NHS experience (essential)
  • Strong experience with stakeholder management
  • Being able to manage multiple tasks at any one time
