The RoleProperty Administrator – Raby Estates, DarlingtonWe are delighted to be retained to support our client, Raby Estates, in Darlington with their search for a Property Administrator.About Raby EstatesRaby Estates comprises substantial landholdings and trading operations in County Durham and Shropshire, owned by Lord Barnard. At the heart of the estate is Raby Castle, a historic landmark near Staindrop that has been home to the Vane family for generations. The Castle and its stunning grounds are open to visitors, with Lord and Lady Barnard leading an exciting vision to develop Raby into one of the foremost visitor attractions in the North of England.The RoleThis is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive and detail-oriented Property Administrator to join the estate’s dynamic team. Reporting to the Property Manager, the successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the management of Raby’s diverse property portfolio, which includes residential, commercial, and agricultural properties.Key Responsibilities:
  • Comprehensive diary management, including notification of events, scheduling meetings, managing diary clashes, ensuring enough time between meetings for travel etc.
  • Provision of comprehensive secretarial support including preparation of correspondence, preparation and collation of the formal meeting papers and tenancy agreements.  
  • Respond and reply to e-mail as directed.
  • Screen and take messages and provide a response where appropriate.
  • Provide support to the estate management team with specific projects e.g. acquisitions, property development.
  • Administration including telephone management and handling any enquiries for the Properties team.
  • Liaison with other Departments and activity associated with Estate Office interfaces. 
  • Supporting the Raby Land Agent in maintaining the Landmark property database, Land Registry and other property records. 
  • Such other duties as may be required from time to time by the Raby Land Agent.
  • Administration support to others as required and as agreed with the Raby Land Agent.
