Overview

Join Gallagher Bassett as a Property Loss Adjuster and be a meaningful part of our diverse team. This role stands out due to its broad scope, providing the chance to handle a diverse range of commercial and domestic losses. As a Property Loss Adjuster, you will investigate, report on, and settle claims, ensuring that our clients receive outstanding service.

How you'll make an impact
  • Investigate, manage, and report on a caseload of Property claims.
  • Handle the entire claims process, from start to finish, including client communication, policy assessment, settlement negotiations, and recovery efforts, if necessary.
  • Manage a wide portfolio of claim handling, including Property (Commercial & Domestic), Education, Heritage, Real Estate, Public and Local Authorities across a range of different risks.
  • Ensure claims are handled accurately, fairly, and with integrity.
  • Maintain high standards of communication with senior management, team members, and principals to acquire information on significant claims trends.
  • Attend claims meetings and travel as required.
  • Participate in the claims auditing process.
  • Align with all Gallagher Bassett and office procedures.
  • Perform any other duties as the need arises by Gallagher Bassett.
About You
  • Proven experience in investigating and handling property claims.
  • Expertise in cradle to grave claims handling.
  • CILA and/or CII qualifications are advantageous.
  • Clear, demonstrable understanding of construction, mitigation, and liability.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Experience in scheduling of works.
  • Ability to work with insurers, policyholders, and builders.
  • Capability to build relationships with clients/carriers/brokers through active listening and adherence to their priorities, style, and Service Instructions.
  • Strong technical knowledge.
  • Eligible to work in the UK.
