Job OverviewWe are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Proposal Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the development and preparation of proposals for engineering projects, ensuring that all technical specifications are met and that our offerings align with client needs. This position requires a strong foundation in engineering principles, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.

Duties

• Develop comprehensive proposals by analysing project requirements and specifications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather necessary technical information.
• Create detailed system designs using tools such as SolidWorks and CAD.
• Conduct root cause analysis to address potential issues in proposed solutions.
• Utilise software such as MATLAB and Simulink for modelling and simulation tasks.
• Prepare technical documentation, including schematics and project reports.
• Engage with clients to understand their needs and present tailored solutions.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and technologies relevant to proposal development.

ExperienceThe ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience:

• Proficiency in system design, with hands-on experience in mechanical knowledge.
• Familiarity with logic controllers and LabView for automation projects.
• Strong analytical skills, particularly in root cause analysis.
• Experience using Simulink for simulation purposes is advantageous.
• Competence in CAD software for creating detailed engineering drawings.
• A background in engineering or a related field is preferred.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £37,000.00-£50,000.00 per year
