Proposal Engineer - Appcast Enterprise : Job Details

What You Will DoJoin Powertec Pumps as a Proposal Engineer, where you'll be responsible for quoting works based on customer enquiries and service/maintenance sheets. You'll provide vital support to our engineering team, helping to resolve on-site knowledge issues and ensuring our services align with the current and future needs of the business and its customers. Your efforts will be key in improving the quality of work completed by Powertec Pumps.

How You Will Do It

• Complete quotations promptly and efficiently.
• Help maintain a reduced backlog of quotations.
• Collaborate closely with the operations team to deliver service KPIs.
• Manage service quality effectively.
• Foster a culture of inclusivity, diversity, and empowerment in line with Powertec's values.
• Maintain strong relationships with engineers and customers.
• Ensure servicing and maintenance comply with regulations and OEM requirements.
• Adhere to contractual response times for both impaired and non-impaired sites.
• Improve the “first-time fix” ratio.
• Reduce the number of customer disputes.

What We’re Looking For

Required:

• Excellent customer service skills, consistently meeting the expectations of internal and external customers.
• Strong mechanical engineering background (experience with pumps is a plus).
• Ability to assess and create quotations for repairs.
• Time served in a technical environment.
• Computer literate, with familiarity in Outlook and Excel (experience with Sage would be an advantage).

Preferred:

• Knowledge of British Standard BSEN12845 and Factory Mutual regulations.
