About Us:

We are working on behalf of a specialist SEN provision in Milton Keynes who provides tailored education to boys and girls aged 12-18 years with a range of additional needs. They are committed to helping each student achieve their full potential in a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment.

The Role:

We are seeking an experienced and motivated PSHE Teacher to deliver high-quality lessons focused on personal, social, health, and economic education, equipping students with the knowledge and skills to navigate their lives with confidence and resilience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and deliver engaging PSHE lessons tailored to the needs and abilities of SEN students.
  • Address key topics such as mental health, relationships, career preparation, and personal safety in a meaningful and accessible way.
  • Implement strong behaviour management strategies to ensure a positive and productive learning environment.
  • Foster self-esteem and social skills, helping students build their independence and confidence.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to create individual learning plans and adapt teaching methods.
  • Maintain a safe, inclusive, and respectful classroom atmosphere.
About You:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Qualifications: A teaching qualification (e.g., QTS or equivalent) and experience in PSHE or a related subject.
  • Experience: Proven ability to work effectively with SEN students, particularly those who may exhibit challenging behaviour.
  • Skills: Strong behaviour management skills, patience, and adaptability to meet the diverse needs of learners.
  • Passion: A genuine commitment to the personal development and wellbeing of young people.
  • Knowledge: Understanding of SEN strategies and a creative approach to teaching.
