At Wakefield Talking Therapies we specialise in evidence–basedpsychological therapies and we are looking for qualified PsychologicalWellbeing Practitioners to join the team.We provide excellent opportunities for development in this role through accessto training around areas of specialism such as supervision, long-termconditions, cultural diversity etc. You will work with your supervisor andline manager to make sure development and CPD plans are in place for yourongoing growth. There are also many opportunities for career progression intoareas of leadership or further clinical training.We welcome candidates that specialise in working with adults with a wide rangeof long-term health conditions and be involved in the development of newpathways for clients with LTCs.### Role ResponsibilityTurning Point Talking Therapies provides evidence-based interventions within astepped care model, for the treatment of people with mild to moderate commonmental health problems.Whether you are an experienced PWP or you are newly qualified, you’ll join ourteam in Wakefield delivering step 2 low intensity interventions and as a keymember of the team, you will be working closely with our clinical team tomaintain our high standard and help us to develop this further.As a PWP you’ll be managing your own caseload providing evidence basedtreatments via one to one and group settings. We offer a high standard of inhouse clinical supervision and training with qualified supervisors. We offerregular masterclasses to upskill our therapists and support their careerdevelopment as well as opportunities to access additional modality training.Alongside managing your own caseload, PWPs also deliver a small number ofpsycho-educational workshops.### The Ideal CandidateYou need NHS Talking Therapies qualification as a Psychological WellbeingPractitioner (unless demonstrably exempt through UCL assessment of competencescheme) and Registration as a Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner with eitherBABCP or BPS.As well as being a qualified PWP, you will need outstanding written andtelephone communication skills as well as the ability to work effectively aspart of a team.In return, you’ll enjoy the scope and support to enhance your own life andcareer too, as you gain the experience and training you need to progress inyour career with us.We have an active wellbeing working group made up staff from within variousdifferent roles in the service who work together to organise events, keeppeople connected and provide information and support helping to make this areally great place to work.We also offer the opportunity to manage your wellbeing by working flexiblyand, as the service is open 7 days a week there are lots of opportunities toensure this can work for you as well as our clients.
