Our Account Directors are the primary commercial and strategic engagement point between Six Degrees and our customer base.

The role is responsible for increasing sales activity and growing revenue within Six Degrees public sector accounts. This involves establishing relationships with clients, developing a deep understanding of their challenges, building a detailed knowledge of Six Degrees products and capabilities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Build pipeline, identifying and closing new business opportunities within existing clients and new logos across the defined account base allocated.
  • Close collaboration with aligned Service Delivery Manager colleagues, taking a holistic team approach to account management.
  • Mange an accurate sales pipeline within the CRM.
  • Create and maintain an active account development plan.
  • Schedule and execute weekly customer cadence, quarterly business reviews and annual strategy days with customers.
  • Engage with the marketing function to build and execute a campaigns and events strategy.
  • Serve as the lead point of contact for all strategic and commercial matters.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships throughout your customers organisation.
  • Negotiate contracts and close agreements to maximise profits.
  • Have an understanding of government procurement frameworks
  • Actively seek out and utilise executive sponsorship within accounts.
  • Develop trusted advisor relationships with key accounts, customer stakeholders and executive sponsors.
  • Share knowledge, experience and mentoring more junior members of the wider sales team.
  • Clearly communicate the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Prepare reports on account status, including close plans and account development plans.

Experience

  • 6+ years’ experience directly managing an account base.
  • Demonstatable ability to communicate, present and influence key stakeholders at all levels of an organisation, including Executive and C-level
  • Understanding of UK Public Sector procurement frameworks
  • Proven ability to juggle multiple account management projects at a time, while maintaining sharp attention to detail
  • Solid experience with CRM software and MS Office (particularly MS Excel)
