Aim of the Role:

As a Purchase Ledger Assistant, your responsibilities will be processing purchase orders, invoices and expenses, assist with cash management and bank reconciliation as part of the finance team. Accuracy and attention to detail are key.

Day to day duties will also include but not limited to:

  • Reviewing invoices to ensure that they're accurate and correctly formatted.
  • Processing invoices, reconciling delivery notes, and purchase orders.
  • Setting up and maintaining supplier accounts.
  • Reconciling supplier statements.
  • Assisting with purchase summaries and business expense returns.
  • Processing new supply purchases.
  • Adding new supplier's details to the company’s financial database.
  • Investigating purchase ledger queries.
  • Liaising with suppliers.
  • Liaising with Procurement for purchase orders.
  • Liaising with all departments in respect of purchase invoices and any discrepancies.

The ideal applicant must have the following skills and experience:

  • Experienced in Purchase Ledger
  • Experienced in invoicing
  • Used Xero before or a similar accounts software
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong attention to detail
