Accounts Assistant

We are looking for a diligent Purchase Ledger Accounts Assistant to join a warm and friendly finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that all purchased items are recorded accurately and in a timely manner, facilitating the production of accounts and payment to suppliers within required timescales.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Print, collate, check, code, and post invoices into the Pegasus Opera accounting system.
- Liaise with purchasing and goods inward departments regarding factory invoices.
- Liaise with the service department regarding service and subcontractor invoices.
- Check and reconcile supplier statements.
- Address and resolve supplier queries.
- Scan and file invoices and supporting documents into an electronic filing cabinet.
- Process credit card expenses and maintain the Shell Fuel card account.
- Manage credit control of some service department sales ledger debts.
- Perform other ad hoc duties as required.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience with Pegasus Opera or similar accounting systems would be ideal, but not essential to apply.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills for liaising with various departments and suppliers.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in using electronic filing systems.
- Experience in credit control is advantageous.
