Purchase Ledger Clerk - Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited : Job Details

Your new companyAn exciting opportunity has arisen, Hays has partnered with a well-established equipment and technology supplier based in Ledbury. We are now looking for a Purchase Ledger Clerk to support our client on a full time and permanent basis, in one of their finance teams.

Your new roleAs a Purchase Ledger Clerk, you will be responsible for carrying out the following duties:

• To uphold their invoicing system
• Coding of invoices
• To carry out the receipting of delivery notes
• You will post and process a high volume of orders in various currencies
• Get involved in implementing and developing process improvements to boost efficiency, whilst minimising issues
• To distribute invoices which need to be authorised
• To ensure the purchase ledger function runs smoothly
• The processing of company credit card expenses and company phone bills
• Support the wider finance team with general admin and adhoc duties

What you'll need to succeedIn order to be a successful candidate in light of the Accounts Assistant position, you will need:

• Proficiency in Excel and accounting packages
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• To have previous experience working in a similar role or in a finance team
• Excellent attention to detail
