Purchase Ledger Clerk

We are currently on the lookout for a skilled Purchase Ledger Clerk with experience in using the Prophet system to join our finance team. This role is perfect for someone who is detail-oriented, has a strong understanding of purchase ledger processes, and is keen to contribute to the financial efficiency of our operations.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Processing and maintaining the purchase ledger, ensuring timely and accurate recording of invoices.
- Reconciling supplier statements and resolving discrepancies.
- Preparing payment runs and managing supplier payments.
- Liaising with suppliers and resolving any invoice or payment queries.
- Utilising Prophet to input and manage financial data.
- Assisting with month-end and year-end procedures.
- Working closely with the finance team to improve processes and controls within the purchase ledger function.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Purchase Ledger Clerk.
- Proficiency with Prophet software is essential.
- Strong understanding of purchase ledger processes and best practices.
- Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- AAT qualification or equivalent is desirable but not essential.
