The CompanyNigel Wright's Supply Chain and Procurement Team are working exclusively with a leading manufacturer and employer of choice to recruit a Purchasing Manager Indirect.The role offers flexible and hybrid working (3 days on site) plus excellent opportunities for personal development and progression.The RoleThe Purchasing Manager Indirect will manage multi-territory Indirect spend Capex, MRO, Logistics and will manage a team of (Senior) Buyers.Key responsibilities:

• Designing, implementing and driving category strategy
• Conducting complex contract negotiations, resourcing/retendering
• Project/change management  
• Supplier performance management against cost, quality, delivery
• Building cross functional, collaborative partnerships internally and externally 
• Reviewing opportunities to implement global contracts with other plants

About YouYou will have/be:

• Proven strategic procurement track record, having devised and implemented procurement strategy within a global business
• Experienced leader and manager of teams
• Procurement category management experience across Capex, MRO, Logistics and/or FM beneficial
• Excellent international supplier performance management, contract negotiation skills
• Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills – confident to challenge
• Skilled communicator, adept at building relationships quickly, with ease
• Resilient and adaptable to changing priorities in a fast-paced working environment
• Confident decision maker, dynamic and commercially astute
• Efficient – able to deliver to deadline
