PURCHASING MANAGER OPPORTUNITY

We are excited to offer a newly created Purchasing Manager role within our group, focusing on maintenance, fixtures, fittings, equipment (FF&E), and CAPEX. This position is ideal for individuals with a background in high street retail purchasing, who are adept at ensuring cost-effective services from a diverse supplier base. The role is based at our head office and offers a hybrid working arrangement post-probation.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Manage commercial relationships and supply arrangements with maintenance, equipment, CAPEX, property suppliers, and other professional services.
- Identify improved purchasing opportunities across various maintenance services, capex investments, projects, and products.
- Implement and manage service-level agreements and contractual agreements with all maintenance contractors and suppliers.
- Collaborate with architects and external quantity surveyors to develop long-term procurement plans for expansion and new-build projects.
- Monitor and manage supply-chain risk, price volatility, and supplier performance in line with contracts, service-level agreements, and KPIs.
- Review and challenge current processes to identify business improvements.
- Attend and present at meetings, as well as prepare and present reports and other information.
- Provide ad hoc support, including telephone assistance to pub teams.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Previous purchasing experience within Indirect categories.
- Proven track record of managing complex negotiations to a successful conclusion.
- Strong commercial skills and financial awareness, capable of building persuasive business cases.
- Advanced negotiation styles and techniques that maximise commercial results.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to establish and maintain relationships at all business levels and across suppliers.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word).
- Flexibility and the ability to thrive in a fast-moving, constantly changing environment.
