About the RoleWe're looking for a QA Automation Engineer to join a technology team at a leading organisation. As the QA Automation Engineer, you will play a key role in modernising our test automation framework, helping us transition from Selenium (C#) to Playwright (TypeScript) while ensuring the highest quality standards across our platforms. This is an exciting opportunity to build automation frameworks from the ground up, work with cloud-based testing solutions on AWS, and collaborate with developers to enhance CI/CD pipelines.

Key Responsibilities* Design, develop, and maintain test automation frameworks using Playwright and TypeScript.* Lead the migration from Selenium (C#) to Playwright (TypeScript), ensuring a smooth transition.* Write and execute automated test scripts for web applications and APIs.* Collaborate with developers to integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.* Implement best practices for test automation, performance testing, and security testing.* Work with AWS services to optimise cloud-based testing solutions.* Identify, document, and troubleshoot defects in collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Skills & Experience Required* Strong experience with Selenium WebDriver (C#) and migrating to Playwright (TypeScript).* Proven ability to build automation frameworks from scratch.* Hands-on experience with coding and scripting (C#, TypeScript, JavaScript).* Experience testing web applications and APIs using tools like Postman or REST Assured.* Knowledge of CI/CD tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins).Cloud testing experience with AWS (e.g., Lambda, S3, CloudWatch).* Understanding of Agile methodologies, TDD, and BDD frameworks (e.g., SpecFlow, Cucumber).* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
